The 12-acre zoo located on the Big Island of Hawaii is the only truly tropical zoo in the United States. What? There's a zoo in Hilo? I didn't know that and I was born and spent most of my life in Hawaii. Better go and check it out next time I'm in Hilo. To me, it's important to see and know as much as you can about your home state.
